The full story
I build for the web as a software engineer, a WordPress developer, a generative AI practitioner, an educator and a speaker. Across all of it, I care about one thing: helping people and businesses in Uganda get online in a way that’s fast, secure and built to last.
I’m based in Kampala, where I’ve been building websites professionally since 2019. You don’t have to be a designer to build great websites — but you shouldn’t be design-blind.

How I got here
7 milestones · 2019–now
2019
Where it started
My journey as a software engineer began in 2019, in the first semester of my second year at campus. I started out as a freelancer on task-based projects, learning something new with each one.
2020 – 2021
Full-time, fully remote
By my third year I had moved from freelancing to full-time employment as a developer, working remotely while I completed my studies.
2022
Graduated
I graduated in 2022, a little later than planned because of COVID-19, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and IT.
2019 – present
60+ websites and counting
I’ve built more than 60 websites, supported a range of systems, and created custom plugins and themes. Some are public; others are private builds for clients.
The toolkit
Beyond WordPress
WordPress is home: websites, plugins and themes. Alongside it I’ve worked with Laravel, Wagtail CMS, Python and Node.js, and with Flutter for mobile app development.
On stage
Speaker and WordPress contributor
I’m a public speaker and WordPress contributor. I’ve spoken at WordCamps and at brand and corporate events, covering WP Cloud and the wider world of cloud products.
2026
Leading with generative AI
In 2026 I began my journey as a generative AI leader, learning how large language models work and how AI has evolved from traditional to generative. AI is part of my everyday work and development, with Gemini, Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT.
